We see tremendous potential in every moment and care deeply about the futures of our students here. Our team of tutors and leaders reflects a group of diverse individuals with unique experiences across the organization, all in one place to bring smiles to the Hispanic youth!


Mariafatima Varias

Founder

Mariafatima is the founder of Smiles Brought to You and an Oxford Academy alumni. She's currently a college freshman attending Wellesley College. She enjoys learning different languages, math, and playing volleyball. Mariafatima is majoring in Economics, and her impact on our organization is still prevalent as she provides assistance in her available time.


Executive Board


Our executive board members utilize educational resources to assist students in their education. They also assign tutors to students depending on their specialties in a wide variety of subjects. They provide irreplaceable support to the Hispanic community, and each one wears a belt of unique skills to bring smiles to our Hispanic community.

Samuel Moreida Rey

Leader

Samuel Moreida an 11th grade student at Oxford Academy and is the Executive Leader of Smiles Brought To You. He has an incredible passion to help others, especially those within his community. He enjoys swimming, math, and playing the French horn. In the future, he would like to become an aerospace engineer.

Alexander Nava

Assistant Leader

Alexander Nava is an 11th grade student at Oxford Academy and is the Assistant Leader of Smiles Brought To You. He's versatile in many subjects and offers his valuable help in any way possible. He loves video games, hanging out with friends, and has great taste in fashion. He hopes to one day run his own business and retire with success behind his back.

Abraham Ruelas

STEM Leader

Abraham Ruelas is a 10th grade student at Oxford Academy and specializes in mathematics. Once a student who came for help, he's transformed himself into a confident student who's helping others smile in their academic success. He has great taste in music, loves soccer, and enjoys playing basketball with his friends. He's interested in studying law after high school.

Grace Garcia

Media Manager

Grace Garcia is a 10th grade student at Oxford Academy and is a long-time member of Smiles Brought To You. As a student transitioned to tutor, she's already on an excellent path to success. She loves to dance, enjoys K-Pop, and plays the cello. Her passion is involved with arts and finances, which is what drives her to become a successful business woman in the future.

Jimena Gutierrez

Computer Science Leader

Jimena is a 11th grade student at Troy High School. She loves to learn coding, and now to teach it. She manages our website. She managed a summer coding camp for our students. She hopes to go to college for Computer Science or Software Engineering.


Student Tutors

These students, in our addition to our founder and executive board members, make an impact on their community by tutoring struggling students in their academic classes. Each tutor offers a unique skillset that can benefit any and every student here, reflecting their hardwork and dedication towards helping our community.

Samantha Wosk

STEM Tutor

Samantha Wosk is a 12th grade student at Rosary Academy and is a long-time member of Smiles Brought To You. As a student transitioned to tutor, she's already on an excellent path to success. She loves to play volleyball, flag football, and travel. Her passion is involved with real estate and finances, which is what drives her to become a successful business woman in the future.

Adrian Arias

Math/Science Tutor

Adrian Arias is an 11th grade student at Oxford Academy who specializes with math and science. He works closely with students to focus on their mistakes with pinpoint precision. He loves to play video games, has been on the track team for three years, and his favorite movie is Superbad. He hopes to pursue animal care or marine biology because of his love for animals.

Ethan Loya

Math/English Tutor

Ethan Loya is an 11th grade student at Oxford Academy who is an avid baseball player. He has great communication skills and can build connections with new students easily. He's a fraternal twin of Joshua Loya, loves video games, and exercises often. His dream is to work alongside his brother to form a dynamic duo against any challenge that lies ahead.

Math/English Tutor

Joshua Loya is an 11th grade student at Oxford Academy and loves to play baseball. Just like his brother, he's great at communicating and collaborating, helping new students feel comfortable. He's a fraternal twin of Ethan Loya, enjoys spending time with friends, and is physically active. He and his brother share a dream to work together in a similar career and succeed beyond high school.

Shivam Patel

Math/English Tutor

Shivam Patel is an 11th grade student at Oxford Academy and is excellent in math and english. His versatility and character are what make him an extremely helpful tutor to our students. He's a shooting guard for the varsity basketball team, is vegetarian, and is a skilled sprinter. He's interested in pursuing a career in the biotech industry in the future.

Riley Ramirez

English/Science Tutor

Riley Ramirez is an 11th grade student at Oxford Academy and is a great writer. He can help out to the best of his abilities, showing his dedication towards helping our students grow. He loves boxing, reading, and taking care of cats.

Cayle Aragon

Math/English Tutor

Cayle Aragon is a sophomore at Cal Poly Pomona, majoring in Civil Engineering. She hopes to pursue a job in this field once getting her degree.

Paola Hernandez

Math/English Tutor

Paola Hernandez is a senior at Washington State University, studying Psychology. She is graduating two years early. She is interested in pursing a medical degree once graduating from Washington State.

Crystal Juarez

English/Science Tutor

Crystal Juarez is a junior at University of California, Irvine. She is pursing a degree in Education and Law. She hopes to go to law school once graduating.

Natalie Prim

Math/English Tutor

Natalie Prim is a sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania. She is studying nursing. She hopes to start her own practice in the future.

Kirsten Camacho

Math/English Tutor

Kirsten is a senior at Anaheim High School. Her interests are in history and English. She hopes to go to a good college and study to become a lawyer.

Vanessa Velazquez

English/Science Tutor

Vanessa Velazquez is a sophomore at California State University, Long Beach. She is pursuing a degree is Psychology. She aims to apply to medical school and become a Psychiatrist.

Samira Wosk

Math Tutor

Samira Wosk is a Junior at University of San Diego, majoring in Finance and English. She has been with us since the beginning, and is still with us through college.  She is interested in pursuing a JD after undergrad.

Kenneth Olmos

Math/Science Tutor

Kenneth Olmos is in his second year at Orange Cost College. He was one of our founding tutors. He is interested in pursing real estate and starting his own business.

Samuel Gatonye

Math Tutor

Samuel Gatonye is an 11th grade student at Oxford Academy and is the STEM Leader of Smiles Brought To You. One of the first students to attend, he's climbed his way with diligence and courage. He's been in cross country and track and field for three years, has great music taste, and can make anyone laugh. He wants to pursue a career in chemical engineering in the future.

Angel Lopez

Math/Science Tutor

Angel Lopez is an 11th grade student at Oxford Academy and is the Media Manager for Smiles Brought To You. He loves to publicize this organization for the impact it leaves on others. He enjoys photography, making videos, and biking. He'd like to pursue a career in electrical engineering.
